It doesn't stop you leaving my mutual consent. If a contractor wants to go and gives reasonable notice and assurances there are not many companies that will force them to stay against their will.... so there is a way out even if it is not called notice....

Boooooooooooooooom. My middle name is should be So Cut Out For This!!!

Thanks for this... so apart from process and no doubt the PMO or Programme Office, is there anything else that is a little peculiar compared to other commercial organisations? What about baisc things like having a crak with who you are sitting with or surfing the net at lunch time.. or is it like a library.??

Jesus, everyone is different as is every area. You can't say it is like X when there are 5+ buildings, 2 floors each and vast expanses of open offices. If you are this worried about how it will be then I would jack the gig in and go back permie if I were you.

Just swallow hard and turn up on site. All this gossip that may not even be relevant isn't doing you any favours. Time to grow some and get on with it.

Well you could always ask in the interview.

From my time there in Babbage, they had restricted internet access so surfing was limited. Generally, I'd describe it as a library although talking to 'teammates' isnt frowned upon.

I found some of the permie managers to be arseholes though. One guy was laughing and joking to his colleagues saying 'you should see the faces on the contractors after the (rate cut) announcement.' and he wasnt joking.

But you can see lots of ickle bunny rabbits while your working so maybe that why northwest2perm likes working there? Ah, bless.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Every team is different - but it is ridiculous how many different teams and functions there are. So much duplication and teams just getting lost in this huge web of crazyness. It's the Wild West here - I like it that way but it might not suite you.
