Moving from Permanent to Contract world

Thanks for the useful replies. I attended my 3rd contract interview in the morning today and in the afternoon my agency confirmed that i am selected for that role in a reputed financial company.

i am very much happy about the rate too, so i am very happy to accept this offer.

I quit my permie job a couple of weeks ago. It was either that or go insane.

I had 2 permie jobs go south within 6 months of each other so I decided that permie work was not really any more stable than contract work and contract work offered more opportunities and more money - hence I jumped and am currently on my second contract and earning a stack more than my last permie job.

Yes, being paid 0 per day would be slightly less than I was on when I was a permie.
