They can give me one week's notice however I cannot give notice at all.

Yeah, agencies love this because if you give notice and terminate the contract they can try and withhold some of the money they rightly owe you as "compensation" for giving notice, even though they have been paid by the client. Nice little earner for them...

Ways to get out of the "No Notice" clause

1. Develop a bad back and go sick
2. Punch someone (preferably someone senior)
3. Start calling female colleagues "love" whilst winking at them knowingly
4. Start having long "lunches" at the pub next door.
5. Sit with your feet up on the desk and bounce a tennis ball off the wall in front of you every 10 mins (this actually worked for a mate of mine )
6. When coming back from a rather long "comfort break" always tell the nearest female that you've just "parked your breakfast" and the nearest male to "give it 10 mins"
