A few years ago a solicitor told me that when disputes like this arise its best to write a formal letter to the defendant offering them the chance to discuss compensation terms first. Apparently the courts do not look favourably on cases where the plaintiff has rushed to get to court before attempting to settle matters amicably outside.

I will be giving the defendant a limited period to consider their response. If they fail to respond to my satisfaction the next step will be to initiate proceedings against them.
Can I introduce you to KittyCat?

Maybe if the OP wanted to get this role in order to tap into the Asian markets in the long-run?

Nah, I'm not buying it. He turned down guaranteed work and forked out for an international flight on the off chance he could see the client? What blue chip company lets people wander in off the street demanding to see people? Definately a wind up.

Sorry, I was offering a glimour of misguided hope.
