Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

scare the agent into taking a reduction in their margin. why should be the only one taking the hit?

Somehow think, but don't know, that they will be on a very tight margin already.

Does actually say in the email, "Global IT staff augmentation", so maybe its not affecting non-IT people.

10% cut at Lloyds today for anyone who had an approved exception to the cut last month, contractors to be told today/tomorrow.

I'm glad I decided not to go back to London, rates are getting cut, but it's not getting cheaper to live there.

I think I will endeavour an accept rate and change to a 1-2 week notice period change, so I can start looking with a short notice period approach.

Don't get me wrong I would so love to tell them no thanks and leave, but my sensible director, family man head is saying not too.

Sounds like a reasonable plan - also, see if you can make some other, irrelevant, minor changes to the contract, so that the agency will have to go back to the client and get them agreed.

May as well make the client do something

Since all the banks are doing this, unless you're very special in some way, just take it.

Interesting to see no one saying, f'em and leave.
