Don't lose sleep over the agents share

The way I view it, is that I never lose any sleep over the agent's share. You have every opportunity to negotiate the rate when they call you, after a few years of contracting you should get pretty good at it. The agents also get good at the negotiations and so the game continues.

At the end of the day, whether we like it or not the agents to have a right to there take, in that they have probably spent all day on the phone trying to source the opportunity, cultivating and then finding you and getting you in there.

You could bypass the whole agent step, and phone around every company in the yellow pages to find out if they need you? I'm pretty sure your phone and "marketing" bill would equate to the agents take
