    Concurrent contracts: how to show in a CV?

    So I have done my research and have found previous threads, yet I want to know what's current about showing or not showing that your previous contract has not ended?
    Basically to get extended at Co A I need to resupply my up to date CV, my other contract at Co B is still running and I fear this might adversely affect my position at Co A.
    Just before starting at Co B, I have in fact terminated my permanent contract and switch to a much relaxed contract that allows for substitution, remote work etc and the Co A is also aware that I am working for Co B.
    Therefore is it ok to just say that I have finished working at Co A (as a permie) and simply not mention that I got more business from them since?

    I'm not sure why you wouldn't want the new company to know that your old company like you and still give you work. Why not just put the dates at 'to present'? You don't need to say on the CV that this bit was permie and that bit contract.

      I don't know myself, perhaps the expectation was that I would terminate the previous gig in full. To be honest nobody asked and Co B being big as they are I didn't know whom to tell.
      In any case it's been a year and I don't really see how adding sth else to my CV could benefit in me getting extended, as what they really need is an update of their records.
      I like running two contracts part time in parallel as that's more akin to a normal running business and should things go awry I can always tell them to shove it on a short notice with getting by on just the other contract.
      So all I am trying to get is a feeling as to how a typical permie line manager might feel about these things - my initial guess is s/he's thinking - "whoa he probably uses up all the creative energy for the other guys, I must milk him more" or sth like that...

        If both your contracts are part-time then it shouldn't matter.

        If one of your contracts is full-time and the other part-time it could cause problems. However in the past I've just put in the current month as the end date of the part-time contract.

          I run part time work along side a full time contract. And tbh I think it's easier NOT put it on there. Unless your doing some super cool stuff that is SOO important to show off. Don't bother.

          I know it's permie thinking that you only have 1 job at a time, but that's who we are pitching to. Permie managers. They don't understand/care. They might think you would do your part-time work in their time, or you would be too tired or anything.

          I also like my CV to read 1 role after the other by date. I think it can be confusing when you read a CV that has a year here.. a year there...and then half way down the second page... 10years to present here.... odd.
