For those of you who have your own LTD and go from gig to gig, what do you put in your LinkedIn profile if you have one? Do you list each contract down separately in your history? I'm currently listed as director of my own company, but that doesn't show who I've been working for since I returned to contracting. Am wondering what's the best approach here.

I just put the projects I've worked on recently. Seems to work ok.Originally posted by BillHicksRIP View PostAm wondering what's the best approach here."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested." -
Both. Your ltd co can run for years alongside whatever client role you are currently fulfilling. I think I have had 4 concurrent positions at one time. Remember, you're not a permie, no-one expects your profile to look like a permie profile.Comment

Don't see the point of displaying the ltd co in the profile - we ultimately only run ltd companies as the most tax efficient way of setting up our contracting arrangements is not relevant to the profile. Just display contracts worked on and where.Originally posted by v8gaz View PostBoth. Your ltd co can run for years alongside whatever client role you are currently fulfilling. I don't think it really matters, some people have it listed as a bunch of projects under the limited co, others have the clientcos listed as separate companies. It's up to you.Comment

Otherwise you look like a permie. If I'm looking for a contractor I want one with a ltd co, not some johnny come lately permieOriginally posted by kaiser78 View PostDon't see the point of displaying the ltd co in the profile - we ultimately only run ltd companies as the most tax efficient way of setting up our contracting arrangements is not relevant to the profile.
