Hi all,
I'll keep it short and sweet. I was just reading through the first timers guide and would have to highly commend you on it, it was an excellent informative read and I will be sure to bookmark it.
I am considering making the move into contracting, but I only have permanent work experience with a single employer. I am an accomplished IT Network Engineer and Designer - My key skills are as follows;
- DV Cleared
- Cisco Certs (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCNA Voice, CCIP)
- BSc education
I am in my 20's and don't have any children or dependants so the risk factor of contracting and travel don't really apply to me.
Do you think there is a Market for me in IT Contracting? Would you recommend leaving an extremely stable (yet underpaid) permie job for it in this climate?
Appologies for any spelling or formatting mistakes, I composed this on a mobile device.
Regards,
F
