        It's a BPSS he's just had done. 7-10 days is absolutely typical.

          7 working days (8 including the day I was onsite).

            Fairly average time then. I've had a fair few BPSS checks done, the quickest was 3 days, the longest 15.

                Think it mostly depends on how quickly your referrees return their forms. Took over 4 weeks for me once, it was summer holiday season.

                    I waited three months. Worth it though. Top rates, just as the 2000 bubble was bursting... Cause of my delay was first, a missing sig, (my fault), and then on resubmission, they forgot to tell me the rules had changed and they need additional id confirmation.
