Don't worry. Things will speed up on Monday, when they realise you haven't turned up through lack of paperwork.

I had this the end of last year (09) the contract I was in was to finish end of Dec, I was due to finish for christmas 18th Dec, manager had already put the request in for a 3 month extension but they had 'procedures'.

18th came, I had not heard anything, manager did not hear anything, had got my security pass ready to hand back, cleared my History, cache, cookies and then last minute I got an email though from HR, 'we would like to extend you for another 3 months'

I understand your frustration luckily I had nothing else in the pipleline as it went really quiet on the job front as it was so close to christmas but I was to start with thankful of an extension to get me into the new year but then had got myself all prepared and ready 'mentally' to be out of work come Jan to then suddenly last minute be back in work.

Is the other job you interviewed for a better job as if it is tough luck on them if they are too slow, take the other.

does your client know you had an interview, and how desperately does he want to keep you?

Play it right and you could get a nice raise.....even if you don't get offered the other role.

Wednesday of the first week of the new extension; I've certainly had first verbal notification as late as that.

OK offer came through they want to cut my rate by 30/day! told them no way!

Did the client actually say this to you, or was it the agent?

Tell them you are putting it up by 30 to cover inflation.
