Market in / around Cambridge ?

Having recently quit the City (after a long long time in banking) I have moved to Cambridge.

So what's the contract market like around here ?

Initial impressions are there seems to be some C++ and Telecoms, but I don't really want to do C++ again and Telecoms ain't really my bag. More interested in Business Analyst / Finance Analyst / Systems Analyst / PM kind of stuff these days. And I definitely don't want to start commuting back to London.

Given your choice of role you might as well start looking at commuting to London.

If you want a low rate gig for Systems Analyst then you might find summat, but most of the industry in and around Cambridge is either, education, software, healthcare or telecoms.
