Best Umbrella Companies for Germany...

Hi

I am currently on a 6 month contract in Germany for the first time.

I was recommended Tresag (Intone) by my agent. I have an E101 and pay my taxes in the UK.
With my gross eur 10k monthly, my current take home without expenses is 50% (and including expenses 58%).

Is this normal??? As I cant help feeling getting ripped off.

I will possibly be looking for another contract here in Germany soon.
Are there any other better options as far as Umbrella companies are concerned, to maximise 'take home'?

Please advise.

to register here as a freelancer, You need only to apply for
tax number at tax office.

Income tax is generally high (up to 45%, use German Income Tax Calculator 1999-2010, FreeWare for calculate it) but if You declare expenses (flat rental, business meetings and so on) You should spend no more than 30-35% percent on income tax on 100000k EUR.

When I started my contract in Germany, the best advice I got through forums and my agent was to go through an umbrella company (they call it a management company)...and so I did.

But it didn't turn out that fruitful in my case.

Anyways...for my next contract, which management company would be ideal...ITECS, Tresag, Pearl etc...
