    Contracting Norway - Tax rules

    HI
Does anyone have experience of the double taxaxtion treaty where tax can be paid in home country E.g. UK while contracting in Norway, I am hoping to get a contract later this year and would like to hear from anyone who has worked thered under thier own Ltd company or through an umbrella Co.
Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated. ANy contacts for accountants who can advise etc
    Many thanks

    Hi Skally

If your contract is for less than 6 months you should be able to pay your tax in the UK; if the contract is for longer than 6 months you will need to register for tax in Norway. The taxes are higher than here but you may qualify for higher tax allowance than you would have in the UK

I have a limited company and work offshore in Norway for 2-4weeks per year.
I have been advised that my company must register with Bronnysund in Norway and also pay tax in Norway. Is this correct?
Can anyone here recommend a UK based accountant that can help me with this?

      Thanks

Bronnoysund is similar to Company House as where you register your company in Norway (or any organisation eg non profits etc). It is named after the city where the offices are located.
