Senior Test Manager--Banking
Location: London
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £180 PD

Description:
We are looking for experienced senior test managers who have successfully led the testing activities on large programmes, ideally in the banking Sector.
The role will require you to provide direction & leadership to all members of the programme test team in addition to providing advice and guidance to both client/user and IT management to determine the most appropriate testing strategies.
This is a hands-on role where you will need to get involved with the technical and strategic development of the project.
You will have an excellent grounding in testing in a wide variety of business & technical environments and you must be able to demonstrate where you have implemented strategies with teams of more than 30 + testers.
You will have outstanding motivational, people and task management skills as well as excellent communication skills.
Have operated in the senior levels of large projects and have strong risk mitigation and influencing skills.
Managing off-shore teams.
On an individual level you will balance drive and enthusiasm with strong accountability and a willingness to shoulder responsibility. Innovation and clarity are important; delivery is paramount.
Team working, supportive work environments and constantly driving to improve the delivery.

There's no question that the senior test management market has deteriorated massively in the last month or so (after a tiny bounce in March) and is essentially back to its 2009 non-existent state. So from the agent's point of view it's definitely worth a try (assuming they're not going through the motions to get someone from abroad).

That said I wouldn't have thought they would get away with it in a banking context but I don't operate in that vertical so I don't know.

WHS. Im on almost twice that as a Test Analyst with LBG. £180 pd, London for a 'senior' test manager?
