I have been offered a contract for a 3 month period - possibly with extensions. The schedule specifies a daily rate, a start and end duration and no deliverables. I am now hearing from others already contracting with ClientCo that they all have fixed price contracts.
As I have no deliverables, I actually see this as a benefit to me as I had previously committed to some days away (family wedding) before the end of the contract. Under these terms, I can now work those days when I get back and get paid for them, even if I work them after the contract ends.
Am I missing something? Can anyone see a flaw in my argument that would cause me problems down the line?
TIA.
