I once worked somewhere in Glasgow where we weren't allowed to call it 'ftp'. Had to be referred to as "file transfer protocol" in full so as not to upset some people on the project.

It could (perversely) be an acronym that does not show due reverence towards the Holy Father Benedict XVI.

Really, that's a new one on me, something very specific to Scottish football sectarianism I suspect.

Yes. It goes without saying that the people objecting to it have hardly ever been inside a church in their lives.

And in graffiti as well. I'd not even considered it until I was there (seen the graffiti but not really considered how upset people might be) - people nearly walked out of the bid presentation because we said that was how we were transferring files.

                    :-)

IVe never worked in an office that was so PC. I used to working in fun environments, bit of banter, joking around, light hearted ribbing. Not here ! As Im writing this, all I can hear are the fans of the many pc's running in this office. There are at least 15 people here, and no one talks, and if there do, its like cheesey talk you have during an interview.

I find it so hard talking to anyone, you try and chat without any form of upset to any creed, colour, gender, social group, country, organisation. People are constantly reporting each other over what they say, and how they act.

I would challenge anyone to be 100% white / pure, and then try discuss things ? You cant, hence why I sit here so quiet !

Sounds really grim, not sure I have ever worked anywhere like that.
