Problems with Agencies - Some Help

I have read many postings from contractors who have been experiencing problems with Agencies.
If you feel that you have exhausted the internal route direct with the Agency then the Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCO) may be able to help.
Check if your Agency is a member of ATSCO.
    For more information see www.atsco.org

    Decent Suggestion but....

    Good suggestion Sally,

I'd also add REC to that.

Additionally I'd also like to add that both of those organisations will only discipline members in extreme circumstances - that is the nature of any organisation. This is compounded by the fact that the code of conduct is voluntary.

The real problem with agencies in respect of contractors is very simple - Agencies do not represent the interests of contractors. They represent the interests of their clients first and foremost because it is the clients who play the agencies and not the contractors.
This is a fundamental flaw and a situation for which many contractors only have themselves to blame through their unwillingness to fight that battles necessary to change that.

No phone calls to either ATSCO or REC will solve that but your advice is welcome nonetheless.
