Am in the process of sorting out a business account. Is it possible to get the agency to write me a personal Cheque since some payments are due.

why don't you ask the agency?
It'll be an adminstrative nightmare but they might find some way if you are really desperate.

Erm... It's the company's money, not yours, so why should they give you a personal cheque???
Trick no 1. Sell your company some redundant business items, like your old PC or your desk. Ought to be worth something, even if it is second-hand... :bComment
