    Serving notice on contract

    Hey guys....

    Boom boom boom time.

Old client has just offered me a 3 months starting in a few weeks..but it means serving my 2 week notice at my current role (theres 5 weeks work left here).

Only thing is I didn't sign my contract that I renegotiated the notice period from 4 week to 2 week at the beginning of the contract.

Obviously I've been working to those terms of that contract....

But do you think I should quickly sign it and email it back to them before I send my 2 week notice next week??? just to cover myself??

    Thanks

I'm not sure it matters, but I can't see how it can do any harm. As long as you have a copy yourself that they signed.

See no real point, if they are going to argue the reduction in notice period now they will just refuse to sign (if they have already signed whole discussion is moot)

Fact that they sent you revised contract, that you continued working and they allowed you to continue working is generally seen as "acceptance" by both parties
