Security Consultant - Security Information Management

An experienced Security Consultant is required for a major government project within this renowned UK consultancy.
We are looking for a Security Specialist who can demonstrate a track record in the design and delivery of the security information management aspects of major infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a Consultant with specific System Security and Security Auditing knowledge, with experience of designing and deploying the information security, system accounting and audit aspects of major IT infrastructures, ideally including:
- Proactive Monitoring and Log Management requirements (i.e. CESG Memo 22)
- IDS / IPS - Intruder Detection Systems / Intruder Prevention Systems, (McAfee IntruShield etc.).
- the use of products such as netForensics nFX SIM One software for Security Audit Frameworks, Threat Visualisation, Incident Resolution Management and Reporting & Analytics
- the use of products such as RSA enVision to provide the collection, alerting and analysis of log data to quickly respond to high-risk security events.
Working within the Technical Design team, you will be responsible for developing the security, system Accounting and audit aspects of the technical design from the proposed high-level design document. This will involve design activity at the system and major component level, building on the proposal technical documentation already produced alongside conducting technical reviews of the design.
Finally, any experience of Government standards in Security Information Management and Information Assurance would be extremely useful.
For all these roles, you will need to currently hold, or have very recently held, MOD security clearance to SC, or ideally DV (Developed Vetting) level, as this project interfaces with highly sensitive UK government departments.
