I'm a member of the ContractorUK group as HairyArsedBloke. You can draw your own conclusions from that.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Works for me as an agent, so with a little effort, knowledge, marketing, promotion and tenacity it might work for you as well.....

The main benefit to me is that it keeps itself reasonably up-to-date, and provides a good map of key individuals within clientco's.

By the way, hiding your connections does nothing but stop direct viewing - when you search, you still get the benefit of everyones network

I got my current contract via LinkedIn (kind of). I noticed an ex-colleague had started at a new place and I just sent him an email to see if they were looking for anyone else. And luckily they were!
