Why dont you take them outside and re-adjust their attitude? Dont work too well on timesheet signers but on others its quite effective. -
Because they have friends in high places. They are far "too important" to sort out.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostWhy dont you take them outside and re-adjust their attitude? Personally I would not give up a contract in the current market unless something else to go to. Wait until you are pushed.Originally posted by pmeswani View PostBecause they have friends in high places. They are far "too important" to sort out.Comment

Normally I would be the same... but seriously... being out of work is better than being in this team....Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostPersonally I would not give up a contract in the current market unless something else to go to. Sorry to hear it's not worked out, IIRC you were benched for a while earlier this year before you picked up that gig. On the plus side you've got the best part of the summer left to enjoy and hopefully have topped up the warchest.Comment

My only fear at the moment is not finding another contract. But assuming the agency will pay up both remaining invoices, I should have enough to last me a couple of months. I might go to Dublin for a week, to rest... and then finish off my post-graduate module that I am currently doing with the OU. Hopefully, things will pick up after then. :-)Originally posted by moorfield View PostSorry to hear it's not worked out, IIRC you were benched for a while earlier this year before you picked up that gig. Edit: Yep.. I was off for the best part of 4 months earlier this year.Last edited by pmeswani; 4 July 2009, 21:15.If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment

So what.Originally posted by pmeswani View PostBecause they have friends in high places. They are far "too important" to sort out.
Gordon Brown has no compunction on staying on when everyone hates him. So let these two losers know that you think they are t8ats and let them get you fired (if they can). It might take them months.
Just rake in the money while Rome burns...Comment

I have to agree with this.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostPersonally I would not give up a contract in the current market unless something else to go to. Wait until you are pushed.
It really is not good to not renew in the current market, although it has got betterComment

If things were different (regardless of current market conditions), I would agree with you. But it is difficut to work with some people, and is not worth the effort. In any case, having the break would do me good...have the desire to do some travelling at the moment.Originally posted by Liability View PostI have to agree with this.
