Worse thing is when the fantasy revenge thing takes you over. You know the thing - you're about to become bankrupt, lose your roof over your head - why not take out some of the b***ds (politicians, bankers, agents) who caused you to lose your livelihood, before you do yourself in. What do you mean, it's just me????

I'm open to suggestions (Can't use white, red, yellow, any religiuos term, any political term, any union term - ahhhh union term !!!!)Originally posted by PM-Junkie View PostI say, steady on old chap - isn't "blacklist" a tad racist? I'm sure you can come up with a more PC term than that?

Let's call it a ......
'm/f colleague addendum with no disparity between regions, race, creed, ethnic background, color, ability, sexual inclination, not means tested list'
That's better, won't be understood and shouldn't cause offence ......

That's because they found a perfect match and it wasn't you and now they have the emotional fallout to deal with. They're not counsellors so they don't let you down nicely.Originally posted by rabiddog View Post, I apply and phone 'em again, suddenly not so keen.
But someone else was a perfect match.Originally posted by rabiddog View PostI know there's nothing wrong with the CV, I know I've got the relevant experience and, obviously, I know I can do the job.
Wot? Dog?Originally posted by rabiddog View PostNot one nibble in over three months and I've tried everywhere (including strangely named countries in CIS and Africa).
Mmmmm, might just be paranoid or have I done something really bad in a previous contract that somehow has flagged my rather distinctive surname.
There is no blacklist. I know that because I have flamed and abused agents who needed it and three months later they're offering me a gig.Originally posted by rabiddog View PostAny pointers appreciated before I take the ultimat step

nuLieBore have already set up a police department to protect themselves called the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre. They nick you and dump you at the local loonie bin with a note to never let you out. The doctors go along with it no questions asked. They also use it on political types they don't like since being found in the woods has been tumbled.Originally posted by MrMark View PostWorse thing is when the fantasy revenge thing takes you over. Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

WTF is going on in this country?
I thought you made that up.Originally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostnuLieBore have already set up a police department to protect themselves called the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre.
Hansard: "Since 2006, when FTAC began operation, 246 people have been detained under the Mental Health Act following a referral from FTAC and a subsequent decision by local health services. No individual has received a custodial sentence as a result of FTAC involvement."
"The Fixated Threat Assessment Centre was established in October 2006. Over the financial years 2006-07 and 2007-08, the Home Office provided a total of £507,262.21 as a contribution to the start-up and establishment of FTAC."
Psychology and Crime News Blog: "and one of the first attempts to use the draconian new detention powers given to FTCA was outside downing street. a special ops officer tried to section peace protestor barbara tucker who the government had failed to silence any other way.
her supposed suspect behaviour? wearing a large pink banner that reads ‘balir’s genocide’ with pictures of iraqi children maimed during the war."
Psychiatric News: "For years society casually turned a blind eye to the total lack of Human Rights for anyone labeled ‘mentally ill’, never dreaming that the definition might one day be widened sufficiently to cover not only themselves, but everyone who may for any reason be deemed a threat by those in authority."
Times: "The Mental Health Act requires two doctors or psychiatrists to approve a forcible detention, or “sectioning”, for treatment. It allows a patient to be held for up to six months before a further psychological assessment. The government is trying to amend the act, with a controversial bill introduced in November, to bring in a wider definition of mental disorder in order to give doctors more power to detain people. At least one terror suspect, allegedly linked to the 7/7 bomb plot and a suicide bombing in Israel, has already been held under the Mental Health Act. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, absconded from the hospital where he was being detained and has never been traced. It's far worse than anything you have written.
a member of the public, who wrote letters and emails calling the Home Secretary a communist and criticising her for creating a police state, has been summoned for an interview with his GP. The individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, informed the Column that he was recently surprised to receive a call from his GP asking him to attend the surgery.
Once in front of his doctor, Mr X was stunned to be told that the GP had received a letter from the highly secretive Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) following instructions from the Home Secretary herself. Although embarrassed, the GP understood from the communication that he was required to interview Mr X to establish his ‘state of mind’.
The implications of this incident are extremely serious, as they suggest that anyone who dares to criticise the Home Secretary, or perhaps even the government itself, will be regarded as mentally ill. Clearly for Mr X, Smith’s actions were intended to be a warning and the first step in attempting to brand him mentally ill.Comment
