    SC reset?

I had an interview at the MoD today, when I booked in at reception I was given a green visitors badge meaning I could wonder around without an escort which is usual for anyone who is SC cleared.

The thing is I hadn’t used my SC since November but as I’ve used it today would I be right in thinking the clock as been reset and I have another 12 months to use it?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

That's your story, stick to it. I got my current (SC) role on the back of a clearance I had years ago. It all helps.

Location? I`m at an MoD related place tomorrow, they`re interviewing for three days I think...interviews started today.
Usually SC clearance has to be transfered before you can walk around by yourself, unless the MoD already held it.

It's entirely possible that they checked with the DVA on your clearance status prior to making the offer. They will have informed reception that you were expected and what type of badge to issue.

        Clock restart, probably not.

I don't want to be too specific on a public forum.

I'm pretty sure the MoD has direct access to the DVA database, the receptionist typed in my passport number to bring up my details then gave me a green badge, I don't now how the two are linked but they must be as I didn't give any other details.

They will be directly correlated as you generally have to have your ID (passport) verified on submission of SC forms.

Mine was copied by the security officer and bundled into the envelope alongside it. It will be an easy way for the MOD to keep track as there may be a lot of SC Cleared GingerJedi's out there
