    Working in the USA

I'd like to have a go at working in the States for 3-5 years - contract or permie.

About 10 years ago I was approached by a company (a software house) that recruits permies in the UK to work in the US of A, but given the family situation at the time I didn't take it up.

Could someone put me in touch with this kind of company? (I've had no joy finding what I'm looking for on Google.)

    Thanks in advance.

    Try Networking via LINKEDIN.
You may find getting a work visa in the current economic climate difficult

Sorry to harp on a bit

Obviously, this year is tough and so activity levels are likely to be low, but does anyone know of any US companies that have been recruiting direct from the UK in the recent past?

Networkers MSB advertise roles in the US. Might be worth looking at their website.

The bigger challange is the issue of visas. It is easier for a Company to get an L1 visa (company to company - internal transfers) than it is to get an H1 visa (external recruitment).
