Had three calls this week, even though I'm not on the bench at the moment. Sweet.

Did the market slump?

Yup, starting to field more and more genuine calls and not one has asked for references
Though this could also be coinciding with my recent change of direction into the NHS (publik sectah's where its at innit maytee) and rehashing of SQL/VBA 'skills', which I hadn't touched since college.

Just starting to look for a new contract now as I`m being put on the bench by my client (lack of funding)although I might possibly return to again soon, but I think I`d rather find a new contract.
So far it`s looking dead. Only one agent has called from my three jobserve submissions and that job was then pulled by the end client (reminding me of the annoying 2002 toearly 2003 period). However, I think for me and my skills, things will pick up starting mid-April.
Looking at other posts in this thread, I`m surprised about someone being offered a 2 year contract. I`d love that also don`t get me wrong, but companies offering extensions greater than 6-12 months max concerns me a little....probably a government client

Why. I could offer you a 1000 year contract and get rid of you with just a short notice period.Originally posted by SuperZ View PostLooking at other posts in this thread, I`m surprised about someone being offered a 2 year contract.
