Getting back into the Groove

I work for the largest cable provider in the country at the moment, and everyone in IT is due for the 'chop'. Does anyone know of any decent agencies that can get work. I used to be a contracter about 8 years ago, and all the old agencies/contacts have all gone. I'm a voice specialist, pabx's and that sort of thing. I suppose the days are gone when you could walk from one contract to another, but there must be something out there for us 'old timers' who don't mind getting their hands dirty. Any tips or contacts would be greatly appreciated.
