Outsourcing/Consultancy organisation seeks to employ a Unix Engineer.
You will have proven experience in running and maintaining Unix/Linux
Infrastructures with management knowledge in at least one or more of
the following platforms or equivalent HP-UX Solaris, Linux Management
and support knowledge in the following disciplines Installation,
customisation, systems administration, patch management, software
installation, clustering, disk management SAN, Tuning, Upgrade
management, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, NFS Ideally you will have
MOD/Defence/Government industry experience. For an informal

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who
have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome
to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be
security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to 18 weeks.
Anyway shortly after I received the usual email asking about clearance which has expired but was high. I tell them this and then get the following email:
Thanks for your response.
On this basis I wouldn't be in a position to take your application
further. My client is asking for a current DV clearance.
I will update your details on our database for future opportunities.
Anyone know a good ambulance chaser that does UK employment legislation??
