I get paid in Euros but need to transfer a grand or so from my euro account to my sterling account every month. The rates that the banks charge are exorbitant IMO - anyone know of any any agencies who can do this for a more competitive rate?

I'm not sure they'll deal in small amounts but i've used Currencies Direct in the past http://www.currenciesdirect.com/uk/
Hifx http://www.hifx.co.uk/ is also recommended.
If you can, i'd try transferring larger amounts through less often. You'll get a better rate. -

Hi,
I regularly use Tranzfers for my currency exchanges.
www.tranzfers.com
They charge £7 for any transfer in Pounds and 10 Euro for any transfer in Euros. Takes about 1-3 working days depending on the banks. You can auto convert, or do it manually to get a better rate.
Registration takes a few days, have to give proof if address, identity etc. but they are a genuine and largely used company in the exchange area.
Hope this helps
Kylie
(P.S. If you decide to go with them, and feel like using my referral, PM me for my username - But no worries if you don't, or don't want to, just thought I'd be cheeky and ask!).Comment
