Updated my CV online and then......

My CV is already online with Jobserve, CWjobs etc., but I redesigned it a little (nothing added or taken away), just re-designed and then re-submitted to the same said usual sites like Jobserve, CWjobs etc.

Then the next day I am bombarded with emails from agents about various jobs for my skillset (mainly fictitious in my opinion). Is there some sort of alert mechanism that informs agencies that a CV has been amended, like one of those Google robot/crawler thingies that detects changes and picks up on them?

Yep.....they're called CV alerts, and most of the time they bring up the serial applicants - every time you apply for a job, the system recognises you as an active job seeker and sends us an alert too....

not alot of people know that....

they can search for who's updated their details recently...

so theres a tip for ya... phone not ringing? just log on a play around for five minutes. get some more calls.
