This time of year is not considered a good time of year in any economic climate.

This economic climate is not good to be looking at the moment.

Might be time to either go back permie (if you think that will be any good / offer any job security), or put your feet up for a bit and have a break.

Been looking for 8 weeks, got offered a contract today (that start just as current one ends!)

normally only have to look for 2 weeks average, time of year is slow, expect more opportunities in the new year, but market definitely been hit

Try lowering your rate by about a third then maybe some agents will respond to your job advert enquiries.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!
