Nope genuine figures for this year and last year, our tax end of year for my company being 31st October.

This figure is derived from salary, commission out on 40 contractors and about 15 permanent placements per annum and kick back I get from when my team place.

I do niche recruitment within the transfer agency and custody industry, typically placing BA's PM's and PMO typically with rates around £650 to £900 per day. These contracts tend to be long term i.e. 12 month renewals in succession so it becomes easy to maintain a high level of long term contractors.

It took me well over 10 years to reach this level and build a network within my industry, my first year I grossed £25K on 6 placements - so its not all mega earnings etc.

I am just surprised that someone at the very top of the RC tree would want to come onto this board and read and write crap.

Call me suspicious but I have a strong smell for bulltulip.

                  Well Mr. Suspicious,

In my office I am nowhere near the top of the tree. I have 3 colleagues who earn a whole lot more than me but they concentrate on different industries where at the moment they are recognising a significant degree of growth.

Like most agents, my work desk is high and dry at the moment! I don't do cold calling so am taking it easy and meeting up with clients and contractors of an evening to keep the network intact. If my contractors all get laid off next year then I am back to my base salary.

And my wonderful agency friend, I don't care whether you think it is tulip or not, I'm still enjoying the money that I earn!! (or more accurately the wife does!!).

If you dont care about whether or not people believe you why do you feel the need to come on this site and boast? it is clearly important for you to be believed otherwise you would show a little modesty.

It is one of the things I so despise about recruitment agents. The need to brag to everyone about how much money they earn. They have the talk, the flash car, the shiny suit, the little wife at home, the chat up lines in the lap dancing bars, but often live in a grotty 1960s semi and dont have two pennies to rub together.

Whether you earn what you say you earn or not, you are full of tulip.
