I must remember not to drink coffee whilst reading this forum. It doesn't look good when it comes out of your nose. -

Remember, if you please, that when you tell the agents you are looking for work, if it was me, I would not mention that you are designing a website from scratch. Otherwise this might put them off your skills and they may try and offer you a much lower rate.
Thanks for your post. It isn't often that we get nice real requests for help.

This sounds like a job for www.rentacoder.comOriginally posted by victorantos View PostDon't understand me wrong,
Money are important, but there are things more important for me than earning 20-35 pounds/hour
I just want to create a succesful web application.
You should be optimistic dot net or other technologies aren't only for finance industry!
This site is where customers place requests to have websites created for them, and programmers like you can put up a "bid" saying what you can do for them and how much you will charge. The customer then chooses someone to do the work for them.
The problem is that for every customer who wants work done for them there are around 20 bids, so it is not easy to get work.
Also the pay is TERRIBLE (I paid just £70 for a simple .net website)
Good luck.Comment

back after 3 years
what I've done in the last 3 years since I came to uk
- some freelancing
- worked for about 1.5 years for a company in Birmingham, developing e-commerce website
- had my first contract last year, currently I'm on the 3rd contract (Czech Republic), it ends in November 2011
in my free time I developed several websites but the most successful one is
www. templatesforfree.com has about 42K registered users and about 700 visitors/day
I'm still looking to develop a cool website that gets a lot of traffic and is high profitable
see you after 3 more years
Mod note: advert link removed (I felt sorry for him...)UK asp.net C# IT ContractorComment

I've only done one website (well, application + site) in the last 3 years. Still, at 14 million registered users, I'm slightly ahead of you...Originally posted by victorantos View Postwhat I've done in the last 3 years...

Still, I've long since moved out of web work (too many Injuns.
)
Nice to see things have worked out well for you. Best of luck.
