Sorry to hear about someone in the same boat. I have an outstanding invoice from Polaris for work done in September. I got in touch with a debt collection company called Atradius, but they contacted me last week to tell me that Polaris had entered administration and my chances of getting anything were very slim. They closed my case!

I since got the details of the administrators from the companies house register:

        Tenon
        Sherlock House
        73 Baker Street
        London
        W1U 6RD

        Tel: 020 7935 5566

And am hoping to speak to either a David Thorniley or Duncan Beat at some point tomorrow.

Have you made any progress beyond your last post?

          Jon204,

I've filed a claim with Tenon. So we'll see how that goes. I reckon the money is lost though.
In the meantime, the company that bought them have offered to pay back what we're owed in €200 installments. So in 5 years I'll get back the full sum. What a generous offer (sic).

I've joined the PCG now, so at least I'm insured if this happens again.

          Good Luck!

I got offered a similar deal from the agency that bought out Veritas' contract book but told em to get stuffed.

When this happens it is just best to drop it otherwise you will end up bitter (like me) and with a petty vendetta against the directors who ran the agency into the gound.

I'm not bitter towards the Director. I just hope one of his three houses burns down whilst he's inside.

Heh, like wise, I'm not bitter enough to point out to the appropriate people at the CAE that the ex director's new company isn't complying with X, Y, Z, regulations..

So now Polaris Ltd's contracts have been bought over by Jumbo Contracting, a new-startup I believe.
As the client's contract was originally with Polaris. Do they have any room to maneuver on breaking the contract or do all agreements stand as before?

A couple of questions if I may.

Who was it that made you that generous offer, Jumbo, 24SG or the administrator?

                    And were your invoices pre-October?

                    Thanks for your help.

Jon. Jumbo made the offer and my invoices were pre-October. Any news?
