I've recently got the offer of a 4 day working week, however, given the choice I'd rather spread the working week over the 5 days and not four, as I said to my client. Don't get me wrong I'm no working class hero or anything but I find if I squash the working week into 4 days the following occurs:
1) The quality of my work is never the same on the last hour of the day as it was on the first, however, this is not the case when spread over 5 days.
2) I'm prone to every illness and constantly tired when working so much in the space of four days. Again don't get me wrong I exercise often and eat healthily, but squashing a working week into 4 days just does not cut it.
My time off comes from either not accepting that contract extension or the similar. This year I've managed almost 4 months leave ok 2 of them were unplanned:O)!
