Contract template for finders fee / cut from agency?

    Hi,

been looking around the web for a contract template and haven't found anything ideal, and was wondering if someone has done this before.

I'm recruiting my mate to join me at my current gig. Rather than take a cut from my mate, what I'd like to do is:
    - contact my agent / agency and let them get their free from client
    - take a cut(half) from the agency

Anyone done this before? And if so, do you have any written contract / template which you can share?

I'm on good terms w/ my agent / agency, but my trust in them is inline w/ how much you should trust an agency

    Thanks

If you provide them to the agency through your limited then take a small margin but leaving your mate with the full amount he was quoted. That's what I did and ended up running two guys for two years and making much, much more than a finders fee...
    Older and ...well, just older!!

      ratewhore,

thx. that's exactly what i was going to do. did you do this verbally? I was looking around for a contract template so that I could get it all in writing. Something formal and a bit tight / iron clad.

      Thx

Implemented it as a referal program.
My business gives a % to the finder upon receipt of cleared funds.
Same paperwork would be applied, but the Finder and Business names would be swapped.

        You should consider this option.

My situation was based on a long conversation with pimp where they refused a split margin or referral fee and instead offered my £100 of vouchers. After feeling insulted I decided to cointract them through my Limited. I ended up with a normal contract between my Ltd and the agency but, obviously, the name in the frame was the other guy instead of me.

Then, the contractor signed up with a brolly and I provided a contract to them. PCG do a standard set of contracts you can refer to if you're a member. This would also be the case if the contractor had his own limited.

I took 5% of the hourly rate and, when you took into account on-call and overtime (which this particular role offered), I think my profit from 2 guys over 2 years was something like £20K.

          Every little helps...

Were the subbies charging you VAT and were you on the FRS or were they employees? Obviously it was worth it for the extra revenue...

They were both through a brolly which was obviously applying VAT. I wasn't under FRS as, with 3 contractors going through the books (including me), the turnover over double the FRS threshold...
