    Edinburgh Accom.

After 8 weeks on the bench it looks like I've secured a 6 monther in Edinburgh

I live in surrey so it's either squeezy jet or a long drive and claim the mileage, but I'm wondering what cheap but decent B&B or short term let possibilities there are in Edinburgh, I'll be in working in the centre?

On the mileage front, is it a common way of receiving some of your daily rate tax free through expenses, and what checks are done on these?

    Many Thanks

Nice one, well done. Cheap accom? Hmm. Flats in decent areas are expensive to be honest and also its tourist season so b&bs and hotels are at a premium. Just wait until the festival starts you'll have no chance

    I have used http://www.factotum.co.uk

and they were ok but quite expensive. They have some nice flats though.

    Where is the site?

ach well your laughing then. Anywhere in the new Town is 10/15 minutes walk away. I live about 5 miles from the centre (West) and I can get to Princes street in 20 mins in a bus.

Give me a shout if you want honest advise on areas etc.

And decent pubs to drink in the centre too (i'm expert on that)

I'm in West End and just been benched so it's off to the south west for me... flat is only 10 minute walk from the top end of princess st. There are a couple of places for let on my street... try www.espc.co.uk

Nope. If it all works out, I'll take you up on the where to drink offer.

                    Cheap as chips: http://www.espc.com/Renting/253107.html

Loads of pubs in and around the area and a nice walk (downhill in the morning) going home however...
