    new here - be gentle!

    Hi all,

much to my surprise I have just landed myself a first contract through a freidn of a friend of a friend...

my partner has a limited company which has been runnign for some years so obviously I want to use that for my contract too.

question is ( and it's probably very naive!) is how do I sort out a contract ? and can I go it alone or do I need an agency ? nd if so, can you recommend any good ones?

    Heeelpppp!

Unless the client is dodgy (i.e. might not pay you) then best to avoid an agency and deal direct (why pay 15% to an agency for nothing back). Also lack of agency will allow you to tailor the contract better to avoid IR35.

Who needs a contract? Just google "contract" and buy one for £15.
    Better still cash-in-hand Arthur.

The PCG website has some draft contracts available for free.

No, go directly, you don't need an agency. It is always preferable to avoid agencies if you can because it simplifies matters.
