I'm at DB & heard last week that all contractors going direct are getting a 12% rate cut. But I go through an agency & haven't heard anything from them (yet)

I was due for renewal and I see the extension in the system is still at 'pending', loads of cuts here and they seem very keen for me to finish some stuff, I sent an email to my boss earlier just asking him straight out whats happening budget and extension wise should no in an hour or so when he gets in. To be honest if it doesnt come through Im not fused 10 years in the city with a fecking long commute each way and Ive had enough

Fair enough, hence the apparentlys and allegedlys - a mate there has had his cut, but it might only be localised.

At this IB they're giving shorter renewals and then after that telling contractors to convert to permiedom ...or leave. No rate rises in 2 years.

Interesting. Would you do it? or would you rather bench?
