Consultancy supply chain

Hi there,

I have contracted before and that was many years ago before the introduction of IR35. All these new legislations and the recent budget have confused me! In my research though I have come across a product provided by a company called Bedouin Group based in the UK & IOM who claim to have all the benefits of the existing methods with none of the downsides. They are a "Consultancy supply chain" and not a tax avoidance specialist. My question is has anyone heard of have experience of this style of working?

It's one of the "loan" variety. If you do some searches here you will find people's opinion of them. I would say it isn't too positive. Generally, its summed up as "a loan has to be paid back, and you should have to pay interest on it". As neither of these criteria are met on most of these schemes, the feeling is that Hector will catch up on them at some point, and investigate all people involved. Unlike IR35, it might not require new legislation either.
