    2007 PM Survey Results

    ... Can be found here:

    http://www.arraspeople.co.uk/project...urvey2008.html

Summary: People thing there will be less opportunities in 2008 for various reasons, daily rates will either be stagnant or fall, there are less permies moving to contracts and more contractors thinking about moving to perm.

PMs, do you think this generally reflects your views?

dont they say this every year?

i'm getting more calls than ever in the last 12mths, and this is for work located round Manchester. the rates also seem higher than in November. my current client is taking more and more contractors, and the next 6mths see them looking for another possible 2.

I think it all depends on location and Sector. London and finacial sector may be more at risk than other areas in my view.
I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!

Not sure if they say it every year but I am inclined to agree with you.

I'm London based and although not looking, I'm getting calls & emails regularly! I've hired a bunch of contractors (albeit not PMs) where I'm contracting now with more to follow.

I reckon it looks good, I feel confident that when I'm done here, I'll be able to walk into another contract.

It feels a little slow at the moment but that could be the time of year. Most of the positions I'm applying for are in the London area with a high majority being within the banking sector. Although saying that I've been having some time off and only now beginning to look seriously for a contract..
