Being told that Aunty does not approve of IR-35 contracts. Anyone worked there and know if this is true?

I was offered a gig there about 18 months ago but the IR35 caught contract was the deal breaker.
Agent Who got me the job offer told me at the time that BBC wouldn't budge on the T&C so it was either IR35 caught or nothing. I know the agency did IR35 complient contracts because I had seen blank samples of both IR35 complient and IR35 caught contracts so I have no reason to belive it was the agency pushing it rather than the BBC.Comment

I worked there for years (via a supplier, not direct) but every direct contractor who I worked with had an IR35 caught contract. I was there wahen IR35 came in and the engagement teams were adamant that contracts would not be made "IR35 friendly". I left about 4 years ago but as far as I know it's still the case.Comment

Seems they don't like the supervision and control.
Thanks for the info guys, looks like it might be a deal breaker.Comment
