Experienced PHP developer required, Leeds area, 3-4 months

I'm helping out a client in his search for a competent PHP developer for a 3-4 month direct contract with a creative agency based near Leeds. Working on a social networking/e-commerce website.

    Required skills: PHP, mySQL
Desirable skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript, experience of working with design agencies.
Rate: in the region of £250/day.
Availability: before the end of October.

Predominantly onsite but offsite work permitted where appropriate.

Please PM me for more info.

(If this post looks familiar, it's because I posted a similar ad when the client was previously looking for ASP.NET devs but nobody came forward - he's hoping that widening the search to PHP will yield results).

so the client has shelved the asp.net idea and try php

But what if no php devs come forward for the Mcdonalds rate.....give ColdFusion a whirl?
whats the lowest you can do this for?

Thankfully I'm not in a position where I feel the need to defend the client's budget. £250 is perhaps a little on the low end for an ASP.NET developer in this part of the country, but it's not a bad rate at all for PHP.

I've heard a few people on CUK claiming of sustained rates of £300+ for PHP work up North, but seen little evidence to back these claims up. Show me the evidence and I'll happily go back to the client to tell him how unrealistic his budget is.
