One last question...would it be more beneficial if i started my own ltd company? I dont understand why i have no choice but to go through Kelly Services
You will always be better off with your own LTD co if you are expecting to make a career out of contracting.

You will need to talk to Google about why Kelly have come into the picture, however it does sound a bit strange. What sort of rate are you looking at? I wouldn't have expected you to be forced onto a temp PAYE contract unless you were earning around the £120/day or less mark.

I'd speak to Kelly as see if you can have a contract between Your Ltd Co [ set one up if you already haven't ] and Kelly.

Of course whether this is possible or not I would guess depends on the role and the £££ you get paid....

Thanks guys. Found out from Kelly that Google use them, or an 'agency', for payroll purposes and to cover their own a***s (which i guess is understandable).

I will ask Kelly if i can have a contract between my Ltd Co and themsleves.

        Thanks again

If I was a betting man (I'm not) I would be tempted to place a bet on this being a reaction to the MSC regulations of the last budget. Kelly are making sure that they do not get stung if you should run away without paying NI/Income tax.

You could of course tell them that your limited company is not an MSC not does it have relationships with any MSC. On the other hand if they get sticky have a word with Google.
