    ISTM that there are 3 levels of office use of a language:
    1. can fit in like a local.
    2. can work in the language, provided that you are taken on as a foreigner. Not expected to win shouting arguments, but can read docs, albeit slowly; and talk in the language to someone with a bit of patience.
    3. can not cut it for work. This may apply even if you handle the hotel and the canteen with ease.

    If your level is 3, best source is Jobserve.
    If your level is 2 or 1, still probably Jobserve. See which agencies regularly look for people in France, and call them. (I have worked for Aston Carter in France, for example, and know they do. This is not spam so don't fscking flame me for it, I'm tying to help).

    I'm a bit out of date but I could give you some links

    www.01net.com which is the trade paper 01 Informatique;
    www.hitechpros.com which includes a job & contract search, but you have to pay to make contact;
    but TBH you don't have any use for them: there are agencies looking for people like you, and Jobserve is where they look (and they are probably based in the UK too).

    cheers, euro-commuter, will certainly investigate. (i think my french is probably about a 3, but i can figure out when they're calling me a ****, so what does that make me! )
