Old crappy CV in need of resuscitation

Anybody have any recommendations for a decent company/website to put a good CV together? I’ve been at the same place for quite a while and mine is looking a bit ropy.

Tried Google and 567,000 cv providers came back, don’t really have that much time to check’em all out.

Don't mind spend a couple of quid if they're good.

CVWrite did wonders for mine (cvwrite dot com) Now, don't judge them on their site or you'll never go near them.

For 80 quid, not bad at all (that's for your CV; their site cost less).

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention: they do a free review which makes it worthwhile.

Alan at CVWRITE has been doing my CV for 10 years and I would not go to anywhere else....

In the same way as a professional footballer should do his own accounting becuase that what they are good at.

You may be ace at IT but tulip at writing CVs so professional help could be a good thing.

I'll do it for 80 quid. Anybody else?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Do people actually use these CV writing services?

I've always written my own resume and never had any problems getting a gig. Secondly the fact that I write it means I can tweak it for various roles (highlight relevant experiance for that role and remove some of the chaff they aren't interested in) and keep it constantly updated as I change gigs.

Surely this is a skill that contractors should have to ensure continued work. After all you know best what you have done and what skills you can provide...
