All tax investigations are historic, so i can't imagine how this statement stacks up..

I'd trust The Daily Sport, The Onion and The Daily Mash for accurate news before that site.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostFor contractor news, I'd recommend this site rather than that clickbait, which is really opinion rather than fact.I'm not fat, I'm just fluffy.Comment

IR35 Investigation HMRC double standard!
it appears LoanCharge victims are upset, HRMC turns a blind eye on IR35 avoidance but penalising Loancharge victims!
------------
i am surprised the professional Institutes have not approached #HMRC to question the disparity of HMRC as judge & jury offering an amnesty for those who may have ignored #IR35, whilst retrospectively pursuing those who took professional advice on legal tax avoidance strategies
-------------------------------------
I wonder what the @CIOTNews
make of this.. I’m not a Tax expert but how can HMRC decide to turn a blind eye to IR35 avoidance and penalise those who used legal solutions backed by barristers and accountants. How is that treating people fairly! #LoanChargeScandal

It's interesting how people attempt to change the narrative to convince themselves they're right or have been hard done by. I assume its some sort of defence mechanism.Originally posted by RobScott View Postit appears LoanCharge victims are upset, HRMC turns a blind eye on IR35 avoidance but penalising Loancharge victims!

HMRC have done neither of those two bits I've emboldened above.
Indeed. People hoping to get Schadenfreude prescribed as a medicine.Originally posted by dx4100 View PostWhen the hunted throw each other to the wolves
