How can I beat a hacker

My site is constantly being attacked by a hacker. If it is the same person he used to post animal porn till the site got taken down for a week and he has now hacked the site twice in the past few weeks and has done it so well that my site builder / host is having difficulty putting it back together.

Previously I just thought this stalker was an irritant but can readers here advise how I can catch him? He spoofs his IP addresses so I can't catch him that way.

The site and Forum use PHP-Nuke but this appears not to be attack-proof.

Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.

    No tulip sherlock.

    Re arrange the following:
    "infamous"
    "of security"
    "total lack"
    "for having"

PHP Nuke is infamous for benig easier to open than a prozzies nickers.

Edit: really this guy isnt a hacker. He possesses no skill what so ever. He'll just be searching for a site that runs PHP Nuke and when he finds it runs the same vunrabilities over and over and over.

Get a site made and designed which will stop him (if its done well).

Your site blows, go advertise it elsewhere.

Yep, PHP Nuke is your problem. SQL injection is it's main vector of attack. Anything that connects to a DB directly from the actual page script is asking for trouble, especially when it tries to manually escape strings instead of using parameterised queries

If I was going to advertise it here surely I would do it when it was up and not down. Most of your readers would be aware of it anyway.

Who knows, your one here could be next.

For the others, yes I am coming to the same conclusion about PHP-Nuke.

Any advice on what would be better as regards a standard package?

Or would I need bespoke software?

                  What does that mean?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

He was advertising his oh-so-similar-but-not-CUK.co.uk site before the link was removed
