I think there comes a point where you've been in the game for so long, you've built up a number of relationships with agents who don't forget. But it's sod's law when you're in a contract you don't want to leave and yet every week you're presented with one or more £ 650 roles that are easily attainable. Buses coming along at once.

Yes, 'am into Test management - very common area!! and not that much highly skilled either...Originally posted by SueEllen View PostIt really depends on your skill set how agents contact you.
If you are in a field where your skill set is common then agents will contact their favourites first.
If you are in a field where your skill set is not common then agents will respond to your ad applications or even phone you up from posting an old CV.
Try to get PMP certification and move to project management is an option....may be..??Comment

I do Automated testing (been doing it for many years) and am proficient with many technologies. Right from front-end (including Angular, React) to Middleware (MQ, REST/Soap Webservices) to Backend (relational DB and NoSQL), BDD/TDD, Core Java, Agile, Maven, Jenkins and bit of DevOps (Ansible) etc. Still, not many roles. I am now diversifying and hoping to provide automated testing as an added benefit.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostIf you do automated testing there are roles out there.Last edited by Brummie; 5 May 2017, 09:18.Comment

If you are planning to focus on tech within testing, then you may need to decide whether its going to be Java or .NET. This is very important as you cannot do both.Originally posted by squarepeg View PostPrecisely. Learn the latest tech in that area. It's pretty advanced these days.Comment
